Default Port and Polish

Hey guys how is it going? Got a question, I have an 04 Cobra and I am starting to do some upgrades to my engine, does anyone know a good machine shop in the Los angeles area where I can take my heads in to have them ported out?

while i certainly agree that this is a worth while mod, you going to better off with a blower swap first or at the same time

Well I do plan to do full supercharger swap, going with a whipple supercharger, at the same time ported heads, and cams.

I know that im going to get bashed for saying this, but cams don't really do a whole lot to our cars. I did cams because my motor was already torn apart, butmostly as a sound "mod"., lol!

Ok, so then what should I do to my engine to make it stronger, I dont want to do a supercharger upgrade which is coming for sure, and have my engine go out on me. So what do you guys recommend

You have forged internals already, you don't have to worry about that part yet. Unless you're making a LOT of power, it's going to be fine.

What you do need to worry about are supporting upgrade though. Injectors, fuel pumps, MAF, etc, and a good tune. If you get all that your engine can take a Whipple or KB upgrade just fine.

Ok well I am planning to go with the whipple 3.4 and of course with that I am going to do the fuel rail, with fuel injectors. I already have bassani mid length headers with the x pipe and exhaust, cold air intake, mass air meter, 3.90 gears, springs, all upgraded bushings, i have my tune through sct. What else would I need to do to make sure my engine would be fine and not have problems with it?

from what i have seen, whipple 3.4L's are overkill for a stock cobra engine. They don't do too much better than a kb 2.4 or a whipple 2.3. 3.4L's shine with heavily modified cobra motors, (stroker, heads, cams) because of the massive amount of air they can move....

What kind or stroker kit would you recommend for the car and what type of cams and heads
