I am looking for a short throw shifter kit for my 03 termi and i was wondering what you guys use for yours and what are the best brands out their. In addition, how do you remove the plastic shroud around the shifter and shift boot?

 

u can just pop that plastic off. just pull it, and disconnect the connections of the cigarrette lighter and the traction control button. then theres four screws i believe that u need to remove to take off the rubber insulation around the shifter....

 

i use a steeda tri ax with the adjustable mgw handle

 

i hear alot of people using the MGW brand but can you reuse the factory shift *** and boot? and how much of a shorter throw will i have... about half the distance?

 

Everyone swears by their Steeda's, MGW's and Pro 5.0's but I LOVE my B&M... Just my 2 cents...

 

I've heard really good things about MGW. I've decided that's what I'm going with as well as a cobra shift **** after having some money aside.

 

stock **** and boot are fine, not sure exacgtly how much shorter it is. more importantly it is more consistent

 

Can't go wrong with mgw.
