hey guys i tried this in the 4.6 but i figured the svt guys would know more. I have an 03 GT and want to put a 99 cobra front bumper on. Will it fit right in? will i have to slightly modify? or is it just a pain in the ***.

 

It'll fit fine. No more of a hassle than putting another GT bumper on.

 

Will the front bumper line up good with the hood?
I heard that the 03 Hood doesn't line up well with an 99-04 GT Front Bumper.

 

i can get a 03 cobra bumper for 200 which is a good price but the guy selling the 99 cobra bumper is an idiot and thinks its only worth 75 so the price difference is making me think. If the case is the 99 bumper wont line up right with my hood then ill just get the 03 bumper.

 

99 will line up perfectly.

03 will work, but the littl eposts that surrount the pony emblem will have to be pulled out slightly to line up with your hood. Terminator hoods are slightly shorter than all other 99-04 hoods.

 

hmmm....i would imagine it would just bolt up nice, the 99 cobra bumper. i just put an 03 on and it lined up fine. I didnt have to modify anything...lucky i guess? the only thing that was a pain the heiny was the stupid bumper brackets.

 

I'm sure everything will bolt up, the concern was for everything lining up.

 

It will line up just fine the only alignment problems were with the 03/04 stuff

 

the 03 cobra bumper looks so much better than the 99-02 bumper. If you have a choice i dont see why you would even want to put the 99 bumper on compared to the 03.
