Default Engine shutting off????

My 03 Cobra has an issue with the motor shutting off for a second or two when I get in the throttle. It does not happen when I accelerate slowly. It only happens when I push it a bit. I have had it at a reputable shop (at least I thought they were) for about 2 months and they can't figure out what is wrong. The fuel pumps and the MAF sensor have been replaced. The shop also switched out the computer to see if that was the issue - no luck. I think it may be an ignition problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I watched the fuel pressure gauge when the car shut down. It spiked to 80. I figured this was because the fuel had no where to go and built up pressure in the line for that second or two that the motor was not running. The mods on the car are a Whipple and a chip. The shop tried several combinations with the computer. They even pulled the chip and ran the car stock. No luck. Do you think this could be an ignition issue. Maybe, under loads, the ignition gives up?

Here are the mods that may have an affect on this:

60# injectors
SCT 2800 MAF
Predator Chip
Dual Ford GT fuel pumps
Steeda Battery Relocation Kit

What is spark blow out?The MAF sensor has already been replaced and helped resolve the problem some but not all of the way. The shop said it was not getting any current. They also replaced the fuel pumps so that is ruled out.

I am only paying them for what they find that is broken plus some labor. They have been good in the past and are cutting me a deal on this job. I guess that is why they are taking so long and have no sense of urgency to resolve the problem.

Hey guys, sorry for not posting when I got the issue resolved. The shop I took my car to should be shut down. They had no clue what the problem was and had horrible customer service. I took the car to Fastlane and they found the issue in 2 days. It was a bad altenator! That was a new one for all of us. Nobody had ever heard of that before. Apparently the altenator was sending erratic voltages to the PCM and causing it to jump in and out of 'safe mode'.

Wow they threw a PCM at the car just to see if it would help? Unbelievable, post the name of the crap shop.
