i will straight up ADMIT i SUCK at driving stick, and i own a 03 cobra.. when im racing im just so ****ing slow at going through the gears... i was thinking of doing a transmission swap, what all what i need to accomplish this? i dont need any **** talkers telling me im dumb for wanting to do that to my cobra. i can drive it fine, but when it comes to racing it, im just not there... and its also my daily driver and i drive in heavy traffic EVERYDAY when i go to work. so please give me some positive feedback.. thanks...

Personally I would like an auto in a Cobra. I saw this on ebay. Pretty impressive. I bet you could contact him for some info.

Honestly, why not just practice driving stick and get better at it? That way you can save yourself a couple grand and become a better driver at the same time. Not to mention the only reason I could see getting an auto termie would be strictly for drag racing purposes. And an auto would take some of the fun factor out of a terminator.

 

If he doesn't want the manual, then he doesn't want it. The man's made up his mind. Go auto. If you're not good at driving the manual, it's only a matter of time before you break something, and then you will need to pay to fix it. May as well do the auto swap. Plus, it's respectable. After you do the swap, you can make it into a nice DD, and still have consistent times at a track.

 

+1... do they make a replacement 6speed auto to go in the cobra or are you going to have to get a 4speed auto like a 700R4???

 

look at the turbo terminator section on modularfords.com, lots of turbo guys go to the auto setup and they would have alot of good info for you.
