radiator issues?
i have a 97 cobra, 41k original miles, im begining to read that its a common issue but heres what im talking about. from the overflow tank they have that hose that goes on the driver side of the radiator(that plastic ****) it goes into a little nipple and under the little nipple on that curve i havea crack, its not a major crack but its there and it leaks. i tried to jbweld it and it didnt work, im going to try once more but just incase, which radiator will be a DIRECT FIT, i dont want to have to bend anything or any of that crap i mean direct fit to where the fan goes in the exact same spot and all, i am hoping to find an aluminum one with alumin side tanks instead of plastic sides, i seen a mushimo one or w/e its called, it says direct fit but has anybody actually installed it on there car? also does it have that little nipple like the stock one does(i looked at the picture and i couldnt really tell). thanks ahead of time for any help.
btw this isnt my engine bay i dont have a pic of mine its a pic i found on a thread.

First of all, I have a patent on all of my pics so your not suppose to use them!..lol j/k
The radiator is seperate from the tank.I'm sure you know that, but just wanted to be sure! They have billet aluminum overflow tanks that are outrageously priced so I would stick with your stock one. On the radiator, you can check out summit racing as they will narrow your search results down to what's exact fit. Also, I have a 97gt with a 96 cobra swap. I have no cooling issues because the 1997 GT came with the best design of electic fans that was available. I believe the cobra's were diff. The 96 and 98+ gt's were diff also. I would look into getting an aftermarket upgraded electric fan or find a stock 97gt unit. Also, when you change out your radiator, you should put in a new thermostat which is the distibution point of all of the radiator hoses. It sucked when I had to drain out all my coolant just to change the therm. Stupid design. Maybe you can put a 180 in there since they come with a 195 stock!

When i got my 96, the stock radiator was leakin a little bit and i think the other owner overheated it or somethin. So i hope i dont have a headgasket leak. But I found my all aluminum radiator on ebay for dirt cheap. I dont remember exactly who makes it but it fit perfect in there. I actually used my brothers Mishimo radiator for a little while so i could still drive it. Of course it didnt fit perfect but it did work. Sucks cause the 96's were actually hard to find a radiator since they had that recall on them. And most of the cobras had the recall done and thats what made it more difficult i believe. If i didnt have the recall done it would have been way easier. I cant believe how cold my car runs now. Its also a pain to bleed the system. I installed a valve on the crossover metal tube on the front of my motor so i could bleed it easier. Just look on ebay. usually you can find a good deal. If not, performance radiators are expensive.
