Default IMRC Question

k i have a 97 cobra, i dont believe i have any issues with them, or not that ive realized but im curious. ive talked to 2 people that do nothing but work on mustangs 24/7, the guy at this dyno shop is telling me to delete the IMRC's because they all have issues, and that with a tune i wont lose anything.

on the other hand a guy that i know is telling me that if i delete them ill lose quite a bit of low end tq.

now im going to stay n/a with stock heads/intake, im just doing boltons, so what should i do. what did you do if you own a 96-98 cobra.

I lost a bit when I zip tied them open because my module was bad. If you delete them you need 4:10 gears to compensate for the loss down low. The 4:10's or 4:30's will bring the roms up higher to give you some hp fatser. With the redline up high on the cobra's 4:30's are doable with the T-45. I don't car what tuner you have, your gonna feel slow of the line. My 2v non-pi was faster off the line than my cobra with the IMRC's deleted or "ziptied open"

I wouldnt do it if I were staying N/A, however with FI there is no reaosn not to, and once you port and polish, B heads are on par with the best of the best
