I know the 93-95 cobra motor has 240 hp stock but i have also heard that those engine are very udnerated in hp can anyone explain this??

 

Im sure they make a tad more hp, considering its rated 20hp or so higher than the GT but its got better heads, cam (I think) and intake.

 

Ford has underrated hp since the early 90s. It makes the insurance companies, tree huggers, and federal safety regulators all feel better. For example, my Cobra is rated at 390hp, but makes close to 380 at the wheels, which puts flywheel hp closer to 425. I seem to remember that people were getting close to 240 at the wheels in thos cars, putting flywheel close to 260-265. All the better for us...
