Just got my '97 Cobra back, had it re-painted black from white, put on new FR500's with deep dish in the back, Sumitomo HTR Z II's and new headlights. I have been turning heads all day driving around, the guy did an amazing job on the paint. Let me know what you guys think! By the way the rear pic, those are water drops, not bubbles haha. Hard to tell from the pics since it's an overcast day. Black is very forgiving to painters as it hides up everything in the paint(i.e. dust, minor runs, minor spitting)
All-in-all, the clear coat looks very flat and smooth. He did a nice job on the wetsand!

 

Yeah definitely. He paints small jets for a living and does freelance work part-time so he is pretty knowledgeable at what he does obviously.

 

looks good bro. liking the FR-500's. all ya need is to drop that sum b***h and you'll be straight.

Also have fun with those sumitumo's. I bought my car back in may of 07 and I have them on the car now. they were BRAND new when i bought it and i have 5/32 of tread left on them.....o and thats with no burnouts, launching or anything like that.

 

haha, i'm getting some nitto 555's this spring and it's getting lowered in about 4 weeks. i'm going with h&r super sport's and some steeda caster cambers.

 

Nice. I was going to say you need to lower it but I see you have plans to. The H&R's are very nice. I have them on my 03 Cobra. Have fun.

Nice! I had planned to go that same exact look with my car. Often wondered how it would look. Did a lot of research trying to get an idea but no luck. Looks great. Only difference between yours and mine is tinted windows.
