Friend of mine just bought an 03 cobra. what is this arrow. it comes on every now and then

Google is your friend. Searched for 2003 mustang cobra owners manual. Opened a PDF file. Voila, it is a shift light. Tells you when you should change gears.

Albeit I notice that it is on at 0 RPM. Unsure why that would be.

i hated that light. you can get it turned off in the tune,if you want to.
