you have cam's?

never really hit it to 8,000 while racing but i was checking rev limiter in one spot it was hitting 7,500

i dunno man

the guy that tuned my car set my fuel to cut off around 7,200ish rpm's. prolly the safe limit

7200 is suppossed to be the max for the stock valve springs.

i have an 03 but i also had the limiter set just abouve 7000, your ideal shift point is generally a bit lower though, more like the 6200 range at least on the 03-04

my cut off is 7800 stock but u kno u can change that wit a tune but i would go wit 7200 i dont really wanna push my car any harder than that its not worth riskin messin up the engine for me

What is going on with you people. NEVER shift at or above redline. Especially in the mustangs. The Cobra's start losing power after 6100-6200rpms. I would say shift at 6400 so rpms don't fall to far, but there's simply no reason to run your car up to redline! You will lose ET times Guaranteed!!!

I have revved over 7K but on my dynotune the power starts to drop around 6,200 so thats where I shift.
I would say get it dynoed and then you will know how high you need to revv to keep it in the powerband..

If your cut off stock is 7800 rpms than you need to adjust your gauges or your tune.
