Question on JLT Cold Air for 98 Cobra
This may sound like a dumb question, but here it goes...
I was looking at the JLT True Cold Air Intake kits. When you look at the intake tube coming from the fenderwell, there is no visible MAF. Where is it? Are the relocated?
Does anyone have any pics of closer up or from underneath the car?? I heard of people driving through a puddle and hydrolocking their motor with these intakes? Thanks

yes, the MAF is in the fender with the filter. It is possible to hydrolock your motor if you hit a big enough puddle. My brother broke a rod by driving his GT through a nice deep puddle with a CAI. just be careful if you have to drive in heavy rain.
Also, the JLT is so a very big tube, so you won't be able to run a strut brace.

^true. I took out my fog lights to help push some air into the filter, now when it rains hard and for some reason i have to drive her, i just throw some foil on the front side of the filter. easy
yea like everyone else said. the MAf is relocated to the fenderwell. i wouldnt worry too much about hydrolock though. My boy had a 2000 civic SI and his cold air came right down by the front passenger tire. his filter fell off and he still never hydrolocked it...even when it rained substantially
Cool. I guess I'm just not picturing how it goes correctly. I guess theres more room in the fenderwell than I'm imagining. Anyway... nobody has some JLT pics?
