Default IRS questons

those with the IRS, is it a nice suspension? i have an 02 GT and i might be able to get a 01 cobra IRS, and i head its an easy install, but thats just what i heard. if it will work, will it literly just bolt in? i don't ever goto the 1/4track, so the live is not necssary, i guess. would it be worth $800 (local so no shipping ?

Thanks, K

I would say no its not worth the $800 and the headache of an install. IMO.....

depends on what you are after. if you are into handling and cornering, then it is probably a good switch. if you are into drag racing probably not.

It will ride nicer and handle better. You can do better than 800.

shouldnt be too hard, the IRS was designed to bolt up to the solid axles mounting points. i've seen a few swap kits somewhere. if you get it, while the subframe is out, it would be best to upgrade some of the bushings too

I love me IRS. I'm not really that much of a 1/4 mile guy either. I enjoy those country turns and wouldnt trade my IRS. I agree though, you might wanna upgrade bushings and what no since its out, try using that excuse to bring price down a bit.
