Default tricking my computer

Ok my dude at ford is going to try to trick my computer and try to reflash the origenalprogam for my car. But if that doesn't work I guess I will have to get a new computer. If thats the case does anyone know where I should look to get one. I know that my guy can get me one. But it might be at ford dealer price so then therefore i might want to look for my own.

I wouldn't listen to the guy at ford... and fwiw... there is no real difference then using a chip, or a handheld tuner. Except money spent... and options the driver has.. the car doesn't know the difference.

The pro about having the tuner, is that you can run dtc codes on it... the pro about the flip chip is that you can change the tune on the fly.

i have a handheld the sct x3...it makes so much of a difference and u can always change the tunes on it according to ur upcoming mods...i would suggest it over the chip...the cip sometimes becomes a big pain....

Blackvenom - the nice things about the chip are that you can load 3-4 tunes (flipchip) and change the tune on the fly.. and they can all be reburned.

You cannot change your tune on the fly with a handheld tuner. YOu have to shut the car off, switch the tunes and go.. with a flip chip, you can just flip the chip, lol...

edit: i don't think they even sell those chips anymore.. .do they? (the non flip chips)
