hey everyone, im new to the svt group but just got the 98 cobra. everything went through nicely. its completely stock with 76000 miles. its a ment car. i havnt found a flaw yet. that mod motor is sick. im used to the 5.0 and the cobra just wants to go but those 3.27's arent doing it. 4.30's are going to wake it up i hope. ill post more when i get it done. myspace.com/ekthrilla to see the pics.

 

How much did you give for it?

We just got our 97' which has a forged 10:1 CR shortblock, it has 20 miles on the engine. We got it for $3000 because we needed to add our own heads. The builder screwed up on the cam caps and hurt the cams and gauled the heads a little. He spent $3000 in porting and $1400 in the FR500 high lift cam kit, so I hope things are salvagable from that.

Alsoif you are in the Springfield Mo area stay away from Injected Racing, they have killed a couple mod motors and havnt take responsibility for it.

Congrats on the new Cobra! I'm a big fan of the SN-95 Cobras. You're already off to a great start with the Teksid block. Now it's time to start modding!

 

they wanted 10,900 for it but i offered 9000 cash. of course they countered and said we can do it for 9300. i told them if they could get me out the door for under 10000 then id do it. if anyone is in need of a new mustang. check out blacksautomotive.com. its a family owned business and there really nice ppl. they work with you on anything. its a specialty mustang dealer. only mustangs...they have a few vettes that were traded in..thats got to tell you something. lol anyways the car is getting the H-pipe today. im getting rid of those cats.
