Default Would a broken Intercooler Pump affect drivability?

I'm trying to sell my 05 GT and buy an 04 Cobra and I know its not expensive to buy a new intercooler pump. But I'm curious if I can go drive it and bring it back to my house, etc with a broken pump? will it do any damage to the engine or blower?

It could.. I mean the intercooler is what cools down the already VERY hot motor... If you drive it back and you DO NOT get into the boost then you should be fine... but keep the tach low and keep your eyes peeling on that temp gauge..

ok, thanks. I know I can have a new pump ordered and arrived at my house within 1 or 2 days. I need to figure out how to install one myself.

When I installed my heat exchanger, I saw the pump... doesn't look to difficult... might want to go make an investment on a Haynes, or Chilton's manual... not a bad investment... Also try svtperformance.com ... they might have a write up.

ok. I'm just curious as to how the intercooler pump not working correct has an effect upon the motor. I know the blower should be ok as long as I stay out of boost.

just cause ur engine could heat up really quickly and really hot due to the boost that ur pushin into the car makes run alot hotter which means u need the cold to keep it from gettin to hot...soo the only thing is over heating and all the bad things that happens to engines when they over heat....but like kaz said u should be good though just make quick shifts and stuff be a grandma

ok. I can do that cause the car is sitting like 2 miles from my house. so once I sell my GT I can buy that and drive to my house, then park it for a day or 2 until I can get the pump.
