Default 2001 cobra modifications

Looking form some advice....this is what I have done to my car so far
-BBK CAI
-BBK Throttle Body
-BBK long tube
-BBK midpip
-Bassanicatback
-Diablosport Handheld
It is still slow as hell and I was wondering if you could recommend the best mods...short of a s/c or turbo (just bought a house)....This car may have been competitive in its day but there are too many cars that are just as quick now. My car looks faster than it is and that is unacceptable.

you could always go with gears, not going to add hp but will definitely help your acceleration. Most popular ratios on here seem to be 4:10s and 3:73s, you can use the search optionfor more info on them. Alot of guys will also tell you to start spraying, but I would go gears since you already have the tuner. Good luck

Gears or S/C. one is expensive, the other is even more

advance the timing with your tuner. I installed NGK TR6 plugs in my '01 inorder to do this without pinging. The stock plugs are just too hot a plug when you advance timing. this way you can get better throttle response and power with only $20 worth of parts.

Gears for an IRS can be expensive.A lot ofshops will want 10+ hours to take apart and put back together the IRS on top of setting up the gears. I scratched gears off my list after I heard that from 3 different shops.

performance is expensive. never try to do things cheap for u car.. just save till u have enough for a supercharger... i would do an intercooled procharger setup at 8 psi....

Gears actually didnt take my tech and i that long at all. It may look like a pain, but its really not that bad. Its been awhile, but i think it may have taken ushalf a day tops. I'm still sticking with gears (4:10s preferably)
