Getting a Terminator
So in the next six months im gonna sell my 98gt and take out a loan to get a 03-04 cobra. I want to get either a sonic blue, dark red, or black one. But I may consider silver or charcoal grey. I have noticed that in SoCal the pricing is like....
60K miles to 80kmiles-$18,000-$21000
40K miles to 60K miles-$22,000-$26,000
under 40k miles-$26,000-$30,000
and some guys charge more money because they put some money into the car. Most of the termi's are either stock of have exhaust/intake/pully/tune.
I was thinking about getting a termi with the exhaust/intake/pulley/tune already done to save some money.
What do you guys think I should do?
BTW:most of the ones that are 28,000 and up are heavily modified or extreamly low mileage.

Ok, thanks guys. O btw why does everybody want to turbo the 03-04 cobras these days?

haha I just woke up and thought you said that on the blower you could adjust the boost with a controller, hahaha... I almost made an *** out of myself, lol...
Also, another reason is that with a turbo you make more power with less boost... giving less stress on your car....

Because they make ridiculously high horsepower (not that a whipple or kb can't),but theboost is a lot easier to modify. There's no need to change pulleys, you just adjust the boost on a boost controller and you're good to go. The price difference is huge though, as Blownsvt can attest to.

you pretty much hit it right on the head, i went turbo over KB/whipple because i wanted to see some "rediculously" high horsepower and tq numbers. pesonally i think i can see 800-850 rwhp whith the turbo i have on the car now. If i want a little more the precision 76 will get me about 100 more or so at the same boost level. if i want to go bigger the kit i have supports a direct bolt in of an 88mm turbo which is good for well into the 1000's of rwhp.there is no bolt in blower from KB or whipple that can get those king of numbers, not even the 3.4L. also with the turbo i have adjustability. i can run on my 92 street tune and make upper 600's or so and in 5 minutes put in the race gas and grank it up to 800+. show me a blower that can do that. it is quite expensive though. my heelion kit ran close to 7 grand alone. then in order to support the numbers i want to make and allow for future upgrade i put in an aeromotiveeliminator fuel system, upped the injectors to 96lb, and added a baffeled and sumped tank. The IRS was not going to hold that kind of power esspecially launching at the track, so ichanged itout in favor ofa fullyford 9" solid axle and welded all the tourque boxes. The tranny was not going to make it either so that has been upgraded to a 26 spline input shaft and a RAM street dual300 seriestwin disk clutch.the drive shaft length was not right for the 9" so that was chnged out for an aluminum piece. the suspension was reworked for the solid with bilstein shocks in the rear and a coilover set up in the front to go along with the upr k-member. i also built some of the weak links of the motor it self. the block was bored 20 over and honed to perfection and rebuilt with 17cc dished cp pistons and rings, i added and ldc headcooling mod, and updated cobra heads with 9 threadsfor the plugs rather than 4 or whatever the original ones were.also upgraded were all the gaskets and the head studs to keep the heads seated nderhigh boost levels.of course additional gauges were needed, i got anaeroforce interceptor obd2 gauge aswell as anAEM wideband and AEM true boost gauge with a built in boost controller. i also added a raptor pencil led shift light to be a bit more consistent on **** points at WOT. to top off the package i gota set of weld prostarsand mounted a set of Mickey thomson ET drag slicks and skinnies. i still have to get a roll cage done but yeah yu cna imagine the amount of money tied up in the build.
