Back seats, passenger seat, etc.! But if you want to drag race, you could make it a lot lighter in the front.

IMO no, its not worth loosing dd comforts for the sake of weight loss. A tubular k-member is a worthy investment in terms of handling and ease of access to under car stuff. A backseat delete can clean up an interior, but take it from a guy whos removed 250lbs (grossly) from his stang and you'll see how much you need to give up for a noticable difference.

General rule 100lbs = 1/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile.

*MM Tubular K-Member
*MM A-Arms (Just get the whole front kit)
*A/C delete
*DynaBat battery
*Electric Power steering servo (Flaming River)
*Steeda Ultralite rims
*TKO 5/600 or if you have the cash, GForce 5spd (Race)
*Lightweight pulleys
*Lightweight Fidanza flywheel
*PST Carbon Fiber driveshaft with aluminum yokes
*quadshock delete
*Fab9 diff housing
*Pro 5.0 back cut ring gear set.
*Center Drilled Pinion gear
*Drilled Slotted Rotors
*PST Carbon fiber axles
*Carbon fiber trunk deck lid
*Replace all glass with plastic. There is a scratchless safty plastic being developed for EV cars to reduce weight. SO far its safer than glass in our cars and only weights ounces. As far as I know you cant get it yet, so dont concider this an option.
*Carbon fiber body parts. The removable body parts are already light and this is an expensive extreem to lightening that I wouldnt suggest unless you had stupid cash and no where to go with losing weight, IE Olsen Twin style
*Rear seat delete
*Race seats w/o motors
*Quick release speakers and head unit for race events
*Remove the air bags (Not street legal, and not recomended by a non ford tech.)
*Dump the exhaust instead of running full length tips
*Manual crank-em-up windows found on the crappiest of V6's and GT-S's
*No SRS (Super Rear spoiler) HAHAH! (Dont correct me please, I know what the safty restraint system is :P) Remove the rear spoiler if you are that concerned, though its lightweight.
*Remove the spare tire and tools

There are other things that I am missing but this list is already very long.
Fact is you can be like those Honda boys out there and lighten the car gobs to try to make the most of your 1.5L CRX or you can spend the money on building power like we should.

Yes many of those items I listed do have their place on a DD mustang, just go overboard :P

a tubular k-member will drop alot of weight. I was suprised at how heavy the stock one was compared to the tubular.

If it's a DD, I don't think all that is necessary for the little power difference...
