I just put an 03/04 front on my 01 cobra. and i live in OH and i have a front plate. i dont wanna drill into my bumper...

how are you guys putting your front lisence plates on? id like it to be low key....

Go to "sticky's" on Saleen / Roush section and you will find someone who makes them and has for sale. Seems to me he first had S197 models,but later designed some for "New Edge" ones.

I suppose you could mount two brackets from under neath and bolt them to the bottom of the plate. Make like an L bracket. But honestly, I'm here in NY and they are fairly strict on that stuff. I haven't been bothered yet, but I hardly drive the car. Just think of all those Vette guys who don't run with plates and they don't get hassled too much. I will not drill holes in my bumper nor will I even rig something up to hold one up there(no plates are gonna rub against my paint??). I'll take the non moving violation of a ticket and pay the bullsh.t charge no problem!

 

I put an 01 cobra bumper on my piece. I got my plate on the dash bored. I agree with ruffcat. im not messing up my paint. ill take the stupid ticket. but most cops by me (nj) dont even bother with it, most dont care enough.

 

i have the stock 01 cobra hood. i havent yet put the bumper on. will this pose a problem?

 

yes it will... the stock 01 cobra hood will NOT fit ur bumper.....

 

whatpart of thehood doesnt make it fit?i wasnt aware of this.......

u will have to cut into the center part of ur bumper, where its supposed to border the hood... if i were u, i would just get the 03 cobra hood as well...

 

well the bumper fit with the stock 01 hood. just needed some adjusting of the hood and bumper brackets.

anyways will the 01 foglights work with the 03/04 bumper? i looked on latemodel restoration supplys site and they have the new bezels and brackets. will the 01 lights work if i just buy the 03/04 brackets?
