98 Cobra steering/alignment
I'm a new owner of a '98 Cobra, and have never owned a mustang newer than an '82 before. I have a load of questions, but I'll start with the one that confronts me everytime I pull out of the driveway. The steering is a fight unless it's on pristine asphault. Always wanting to jump one way or another, a constant fight. This can't be normal, can it? The tire wear seems to be even, so it doesn't really seem like it would be an alignment issue. Do the 96-98's have the same "sponge frame" issues as earlier models? I.E.; Would SF connectors and a strut tower brace be a reasonable remedy? Or, could I have a rear dif that's tweaking out, throwing radically diferent amounts of power at one rear wheel or the other?
It generally wants to pull left, but has no problem fighting to go right either. And again, tire wear is normal, and on perfect road surface, there is no issue what so ever.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
