cams

RE: cams
I asked a similar question on here but got no help. I ended up contacting the folks at lethal performance and asking them. They said that in most 99-01 Cobras, they see between 330rwhp and 370rwhp depending on your supporting mods with a cam swap. Both stage 1 and stage 2 produce about the same hp.

RE: cams
you will NEVER get a 70hp boost from cams, on a naturally aspirated 4.6L 4v...
lethal performances adviceis partial, because they want to SELL you the cams...
getting 370 rwhp, even with every single bolt on in the world, is IMPOSSIBLE with a cammed 4.6L
bolt on is defined as any part of your engine, that affects the hp output ofyour engine, but does not touch oil...
Cams will give you about a 20 - 30 hp increase... But when you buy the cam, becareful to consider what else you plan on doing to your car... the best cam for an NA set up is NOT the best cam for a supercharged set up...
as for the terminator guys, unless your running more than 20 lbs boost, with a twin screw, cams are more of a SOUND mod than a performance mod...
end rant...

RE: cams
THATS NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE MANY terminators that i have personally seen cammed, and then tuned...
I would LOVE to see your dyno sheets, because as far as I am concerned, it sounds like a mistake.
And didn't you just make a post about owning an 01 cobra, not an 04? [&:]

RE: cams
They did a cam swap in one of the older 5.0 mags i remember about putting cams on an o3-04 cobra... couldn't find it on their website but if i remember right they put down over 40 hp at the wheels with the same boost of a ported eaton car... pretty sweet but still a lot of dough to pay somebody if you don't know how to do it yourself...
