Default Cobras Running Hott Help!!!

So the other day the cobra was leaking coolant, today I went to walmart and it ran hot, i popped the hood and coolant was coming out of the tank so I got the car home removed the reservoir tank and noticed there was a crack in the plastic tank...I got another plastic tank put it on test drove it to see if it would run hot at first it was fine, then i turned the a/c on just to see if it would stay cool, and the a/c wasn't blowing any cold air out, and we started smelling coolant, popped the hood and noticed it was coming out of the cap...so we are thinking it could be the thermostat?...does anyone else have any suggestions we checked hoses and doesnt look like any hoses are messed up....
Thanks in advance

if you fixed the tank.. and all the hoses are good and you're still overheating... you probably need to burp the coolant... probably got an air pocket in there now...

I would get a new coolant cap as well. Mine went bad before and made my car run hot, made coolant over flow. If your tank cracked maybe your cap didn't relieve the pressure like it's suppose to! Air pockets will def cause over heating. You should be able to hear the coolant gurgling if there are airpockets. Almost like pouring water on the fryer sound.

Yeah, i ordered a new cap as well just to be on the safe side in case there was a seal problem, when i let the car idle for awhile, there was no leak so i thought the cap was good, as far as air in the system i heard that happens, so wat exactly do i need to do, b/c i heard it can be a pain in the butt

i took mine to a mechanic 2 diffrent occasions ....mine did the same as yours...the cap looked new and felt fine, but i guess it doesnt relieve the pressure right cuz roughly 6 months after the first incident happened it did it again , but this time i got a second opinion and it was just i needed a new cap and it never happened again...hopefully thats the same thing thats happening to you...it sure sounds like the same thing
