Does anybody know if a T-5 tranny will fit my 2001 Cobra? If so what is the horsepower rating for the T-5?

Even if they did, they are total junk unless it's a World class T-5. Get yourslef something nice for a swap.

 

t5 = old crap

if you want to set up from your tr3650, either go with a tko 500, tko 600, or a t56

NEVER DOWNGRADE!! it will end up costing you MOREthan an upgrade, in the end!

 

theres a reason cobras don't come stock with t-5s

 

yeah you would have to make sure the input shaft works along with clutch and bellhousing so go with either a used t3650 ot spend the extra couple hundred and get a tko 5-600. T-56's are nice as daily driver tranny's unless you get the viper spec for additional power. I would suggest tko 500 for a good street/strip setup on a mildly modified cobra

 

Stockterminator t56's take to abuse VERY well... Surprisingly well, IMO...

There have been several Cobras in the 9's, on a completely stock t56...

 

Thats damn good to know Mfj. Ive heard nothing but miracles from the TKO600, which is what i would get if i needed an upgrade. Otherwise go for the T56
