AC HELP-ANY TECHS ONLINE-
alright guys, i have an 01 cobra with 52k miles. as of earlier this week the ac was blowing perfect and now it wont switch on. i started trouble shooting with a mechanic friend of mine and this is what i know for sure. for starters i am not low on freeon and we have ruled out the ac clutch. my meter shows 13.2 volts at the plug but it will not kick the compressor on. i originally thought it was a bad ground issue so i tried regrounding temporarily and nothing happened. however, if i run two wires one from the positive & negative sides of the battery straight to the compressor it will kick on and blow cold just as before. i am about to pull my hair out and need some help. has anyone encountered this problem before? am i missing something? I was hoping there might be a ford tech online tonight and could chime in. thanks for any input possible.
