Default Cobra Randomly Dies

ive run into my first problem with my 03 cobra. this is the 4th time shes died on me. first time, i was on the brakes in neutral slowwing down for a red light. i feel the brake pedal go stiff, and notice 0 rpm's. wtf. second time, same thing. third time. sitting at a light, put it in first to crawl forward, dies. this afternoon, pulling into work, starts to stumble, put in neutral, dies. then it wouldnt start for a few cranks after that. my thoughts... bad tank of gas (yes only premium), try one of those stp fuel cleaners r octane boosters? ive heard of bad alternators on these. any ideas would be appreciated!

alternators are a problem with these cars. i had a stock one die on me. had it rebuilt and it didn't last 1k miles. I went with a lifetime warranty one from kragen, and so far so good.

mine was also doing that. i changed out the battery thinking it was the problem. but it was the alty. changed out the alternator, and my cobi hasn't died on me yet.

you can take you alternator to autozone for a free testing and they'll let you know if its good or not. make sure your battery cables are also tight.

did it throw any codes when it died, second if the alternator died the battery would of kept the car running untill the battery died and then you wouldnt be able to start the car again...so im ruling out your alternator, but you could still have it tested, id start with the battery cables check for corrosion and make sure they are tight, the next thing to do is see if its loosing fuel or spark
