Default Engine swap.

How hard would it be to swap a 03-04 cobra motor into a 97 cobra?

Easy if you have the complete wire harness. Take a lot of pictures of how one fits in the 03/04 and just stick it in there.

honestly you would most likely spend alot more money swapping an 03/04 cobra engine in than building your own, they aren't cheap, if you come across one cheap it could be done fairly easily...

im not 100% sure but the 03/04 had different trans then the 97, but like said by the time u get the harness computer transmission, clutch, and what ever else you might need clutch cables drive shafts etc.. its going to get quite expensive

If he get a T56 he'll have two issues. 1) electronic speedo in the T56 and 2) the 96-98 Cobras have the cross member moved back a few inches.

Everything else is as easy as Sunday morning.

He didn't say anything about money, he only asked how hard it would be. I agree though, the hardest part would be coughing up the money for one. Much cheaper to build your own.

yeah, but this is a forum and he is looking for help, why would i steer him in a direction where he would spend much more money for the same power than if he went an alternate route.
