It would be way cheaper for you to sell the v6 and buy a cobra/gt than to do a swap. Unless you found a cheap donor car and can do all the labor yourself.

if you drop in a cobra motor it would be a sleeper. but having a sleeper is kinda cheating imo

well what changes would i have to do to put the cobra motor into a normal 99'-04' mustang? is there motor mounting issues and such? i would be doing my own labor with my dad. i just need to know ahead to see what i will be running into

If you have a v6 and wanna drop in a v8, I believe you need the motor, trans and rear end, Plus harness and all the extra BS...Just save yourself sometime and buy either a 96-98 cobra or a 99, 01.

It all depends on what your looking for, its not really be cheaper to just buy a cobra or GT at all, it more liekly be more expensive to go that route, but that all depends on the value of your car and what you would be looking to replace it with. Pretty much you need the drive train, probably want to get another gauge pod, depending upon 2v or 4v I think you could get it all done for 2k-4k, just depends on what deals you find

I just saw a 1999 GT sell for 1500 bucks with a blown rod, so good deals on rollers can be had to
