are you talking about the rubber isolators that wrap around the spring?

You can leave the iso's out for an additional 1/4-1/2" drop. You might get some squeeking and noise over bumps and such but wrapping the first coil in electrical tape helps prevent that.

Leaving the isolators out is a really bad idea. It wil be noisy and harsh. It will also wear out the spring perches. If you're wanting to go lower, get a lower spring.

if you want lower, get lower springs. use the rubber isolators. have you car to low will just make it harder to drive.

I disagree

I had an '85 GT Stang with FRPP springs and no isolators for over 20 years and had no issues with perches. I used heavy grease on end-coils to eliminate squeeking that I predicted I might get. As for noise, I suppose there was some minor additional noise, although VERY minor. The isolators get so compressed that harshness was unknown as springs were already heavier than the stockers. I am sure there was some additional ride noise and such, but the trade-off for gaining another 1/2"~3/4" drop as I did, was worth NOT messing up the spring rate by cutting/clamping coils.

yea forget cutting them, but im more worried about how the back will look bc the springs arent the ones in the b spring kit. my friend gave me them cause we changed his to coil overs and i couldnt find the matching rears so i bought bullitt rears and the are s'posed to drop about an inch but the B spring kit is 1.25 in drop so i dont wana hav a rake like u'd c on an old nova or camaro.

no one ever said anything about cutting or using clamps, just getting shorter springs if he wanted a lower ride height. you will not know if your car will be raked until you put them on the car then drive it around to see how the springs settle. spring drops arent always what the advertise drop will be. good luck
