new to the forums
Hey everyone, I'm coty!....I'm new to the forums from a little town called Martinsburg, MO
I have an 05 dodge SRT-4 and personally I'm sick of being FWD and put in the ricer group. So here I am....
I want a cobra at least an 01 but I have a few questions.....
1. Do I go all out and just buy the 03-04? Because its prolly gonna be my daily driver.
2. Buy the 01-02 and just use the remaining money for a supercharger or twin turbo kit??
3. What should I look for when buying 1 of these cars??

Well first off welcome to the forums. I would definately get an 03-04 because once you get used to that power its so much easier to get more HP out of it as opposed to having to put the blower or turbos. I think they look sooo nice too. The only downside is the IRS.
When looking for either of course mileage but what mods does it already have. If the previous owner modded it to high heaven odds are he raced it. Its always fun to start with a stock car. Its like a clean slate you can persona;ize exactly how you want it.
Have fun and good luck.

Welcome to the forums!
If you have the money go with an '03-04 Cobra. They are more expensive to buy, but much easier to get power out of. If you dont have the money to buy a Terminator you can go with a '99 or '01 (there were no '02s here) and just FI it later. I have seen many FI '01s with a boat load of power. it all depends on what you really want to do,and how deep your pockets are.
+1 on finding one close to stock, or one that you KNOW has been taken care of.

I say go all out and get the 03 04. Much more potential and alot more fun out of the box. Look for low miles, and stock stock stock! Check the bolts around the engine and mark sure the air intake hasn't been removed, or the pullys havnt been swapped.
Welcome from Upstate NY! ...Go with the 03/04 Cobra, great all around car! ...just take your time looking & do you typical research before buying....this site has a lot of info: http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/2003_2004faqs.htm
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
What Up Cody im currently livin in Mo too my name is JT and welcome to the forums if you like and have the money you should get one of the best Cobras of all time the terminator fo sure! personally i opted for the 99 b/c of the all aluminum Teksid which in the long run can support way more power and i saved alot of money and spent that on sweet stuff for the ride. but the other ones have their perks specially the Termi. cant wait to see what you picked bro take it easy.
Welcome...
If you can afford it.. there is no better version then the 03/04 Cobra -- however there can be headaches with it once you start modding it like all fast cars..
Another option that you do have is a 03/04 Mach 1 over an older Cobra...
