Default 4V build - Intake and Cams

ok SVT guys i need your inpuut and advice on my 4v build. right now i've got a brand new factory block w/ a brand new 04 cobra crank w/ 4340 forged h-beams(rated at up to 800hp) and manley/mmr 4v flatop forged pistons. the heads are the complete stockers off an 03 cobra. i'm not gunna go f/i so i wanted my c/r to be 10.5:1 and this will get me it.

this car will be daily driven, so keep that in mind and it is an 4R70W auto w/ the jmod and trans cooler. whats the redline with the stock heads?with all that in mind, what intake manifold and cams would be best for me to run?

For my Rebuild im going http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp+Cams/249/106200/10002/-1 cams... i am also going N/A, ive been looking into intakes, i've heard alot of good things about sullivan but most if not all have been from F/I stuff, idk how they are on N/A apps, also i gotta worry about passing emissions, let me know if u find anything in the Intake department.

As far as how high it can rev theres many factors. The connecting rods and the valve springs are the 2 big ones though.Sean hyland motorsports has some good cams for the value but it sounds like you want to go all out so COMP FTW.

ok, i'll look into that...does the 99/01 intake fit the 03 head design??

not completely all out, just high revving (preferabby around 6500-7500 range) and went with such strong internals because they're about the same price as the stock internals from ford. and because i want it strong enough to BEAT on daily without any problems. whats the redline on a stock o3/04 cobra?? i was thinking some comp stage 1 cams...

99/01 intake fits 03/04 heads but I think the ports won't match up exactly (not 100% sure on this), so minor work may have to be done. Sullivan performance makes the best aftermarket intakes for 4v motors as of now. The gains aren't huge with C heads if you have a mildish N/A engine (the cams will help out the intake gains though considerably), but forced induction or a lot of N/A work will help.

You can get much more than that. Thats just the rwhp of a midpipe and a short runner intake on a 96-98 cobra with a good tune .You could keep the stock parts and still have durabillity if thats your goal.

The mach1 intake manifold will fit exactly, I forgot all about that. The heads off the mach and 03/04 cobras are the exact same, machs were just the NA model of the 4v in 2003/2004. You'll exceed 300rwhp easily. 5 spd Machs put down around 290-300rwhp stock, auto machs were around in the 270-280ish Rwhp I'd believe. With cams, your easily going to make over 300, especially with the higher CP. If you get little bolt on supporting stuff like intake/exhuast you'll get a good gain also since you already have great core parts to up the motors potential.

I don't know how the laws are in MD but up here in PA if you drive your car less that 5000miles a year you're exempt from emissions. I see your sig. says from DD to ----, so if laws are the same down there just keep it under 5,000miles a year. My time is up and I put on 4,500miles so I'm exempt
