dont bother with porting , you wont be happy. get a k.b or whipple, i went the wrong way when i ported mine, for it just to come off 400 miles later , money wasted save up my friend.you wont regret it !

That's not true... it depends on what HIS goal is.. obviously, you're goal wasn't 500 rwhp +/- .. it was more ... it happens.. but if his is, or if he wants that (500rwhp or so) and/or nitrous; a ported blower works perfect, and saves you 3-4 grand...

Neverenough - obviously you wanted more then 500-530rwhp.. and that's fine... Personally, I had my ported blower for a while (which was the plan) and I had that until I was ready for either a KB/Whipple, or putting on a shot of nitrous... To be honest... if you get a ported blower for 500-800 bucks... sell yours for 400, then IF you want to upgrade to a twin screw you can just turn around and resell the ported blower for the same 500-800 bucks... In the end it comes out a wash.

stage 5 port + pump gas= 550rwhp
stage 5 port + race gas= 600rwhp

stage 5 port + pump gas + 150 shot= 700rwhp <--- much cheaper and better performance

i wanted at least 600 rwhp and got 603/525 now on 93 pump gas
and 641/557 rwhp with 104 gas tune both with 19 psi max.
that pn a mustang dyno

with 21 psi had 643/577 .computer pulled out to much timing due to heat.

i got a 2.75 pulley but i dont have a tune for that . would be good at the track with cold motor and better gas. next time amazon comes down i will ,bet them to give me a tune for that .

my ported eaton i had a 2.76/9.00 lower pulley combo. 20 psi ,ported eaton
i had 491/571 on a dyno jet. on 93 pump gas.

20 psi?! you were WAY overspinning that eaton!! I think you actually might be the new town idiot here... Mine made over 500rwhp on a Stage 3 with my bolt ons in good weather in Florida.. I want to say it was 508 (i have the dyno somewhere).. and most people are getting 530 or so with the stage 5 port... with a 125, or a 150 shot he'd be way over the mark and on his way to 700rwhp/torque...

It all depends on what the owner of the car wants to do it, how much he wants to spend, and if he likes/hates nitrous...

But 20 psi.. no wonder you were losing power.. im surprised you didn't damage the blower.. hell a 2.81 alone puts it at near RPM redline... I don't think i've ever actually seen a 9lb lower, lol... You are a moron if you really put that on yourself.. from your sake, I hope you didn't.. I hope you bought it like that.
