Default Dumb exhaust question.

I have a magnaflow exhaust catback w/the big mufflers and its all bolt on stainless steel. I love the tips etc on the exhaust but want a loud exhaust. I was looking into getting either a set of SLP resonators or the magnapacks. The dumb question is will either resonator/muffler just bolt on? It looks too easy and that the reson of me asking cause I know things tend to be alot harder.

I messured the muffler and it seems to be around 20-22inches from the tip of one side to the other (Inlet/outlet).

Thanks!

If you want louder then go with the magnapacks. I think jegs and summit racing sell just the muffler. It says not made to be used with the magnaflow cat back if I can recall. Just write down the part# and call w/e place your going to order from and ask them. I believe there was a guy on SVTP that bought the mufflers from summit racing and had them welded in.

^^ was thinking about it or a high flow cat system due to inspection here in PA.

Would the magnapacks be just as loud as the LM1s (SLP)? I ve seen the inside of the LM1's due to installing them on a GT and it was a joke. Looked like a solid piece of exhaust tube in the middle.

Just get an o/r mid pipe and keep your stock one for inspection.

and no, LM1s are about the loudest you can get without finding the rare and discontinued 99-04 cobra FRPP M-55 catback. Which are 3" stainless steel mandrel bent tubing. I could have had them already, but a summit representative told me they were for the 99-01 cobra. I shouldn't have listen.

I'm running a Bassani hi-flow Catted X pipe (kit comes with the straight pipes)...
