How many splines does the 01 Cobra have on there diff. I've read that they came with 31 and the 99's had 28. But I've also read that they didn't start the 31 spline until 03.

 

The 01 Cobras come with 28 spline axles... They were supposed to come with 31, but they didn't... :s FORD lied...

 

+1, as ive said before ive argued with a guy at the dealership about this lol.

 

Are you guys sure about that? I remember the 00 Cobra R getting the 31 spline and than Ford carried all the parts over that got upgraded for the 00 R IRS to the 01 Cobra. But I'm to lazy to look up the proof right now

OK I'll take your word for it.
The reason I doubted it was because I used to work at the company that designed and built the IRS for Ford and I thought I remembered them telling us that the 01 IRS would be to the 00 R specs. But the Diff did come from Visteon and they where pretty good at doing NOTHING right

well its better than started on about the same thing isnt it but that doesnt really help im just asking a simple question would it fit or not just trying get some expert feedback
