Oh fer sure i'm gonna get it tuned but i'm buying some parts at the moment so it would be a waste of money but I will be doing that soon.. I put a pair of Spintek's on her this weekend and damn she sounds good now.. I'm thinkin about putting on k/b's cold air intake or a pair of good headers but i will have to wait 3 weeks or so to afford them.. unless someone on here has a pair they wanna get rid of and I dont have to have the absolute very best.. And what the hell else is there really to do to these motors without having to pay $2500 for new heads.. I should save for my suspension but money burns a hole in my pocket lol

 

well not to bash headers cause i did them to my car and sounds amazing but they dont really help superchargers until you get up real high in the hp and at that point you would need to forge the engine....suspension is a good mod looks good and helps with traction...idk how much has been done to the kb and what boost and so forth but go to kenne belles website and see what you can add to get the max hp for your stock internals...

 

Personally i wouldn't do headers they cost to much and are a pain to install ( if ur doing it yourself)and they wont give you much of a power increase I would save up forge the motor and run more boost well that's my plan anyways. You can add cams but that will set you back $1500 ( rough estimate) gears if not done already and bigger throttle body. CAI if not one one already. And the tranny will give up sooner or later with the added horsepower. Just to give you a few options.

 

Ya i'm debating on gears, I kinda like my highway gas mileage lol 24+ is nice.. but if I do get those I can get gears for next to nothing.. cai is the next thing for sure.. and this is a dumb question since it sounds like everyone knows but what is forging

 

not a dumb question, gotta learn some how =) but you dont so much actually forge something you buy "forged" internals for your motor, because your stock internals arnt forged, forged ones are much stronger and if your running high boost non-forged interals will go bye-bye

 

Oh ok I know what that is I have just never heard it refered to as that. Ha it was a dumb question.. guess i gotta learn more lingo

 

How much boost are you running now because if ur running more then 10 you are on borrowed time. The crank is forged but rods and pistons are the weak points on our motors.

 

Only 5 psi right now I just had to smog it.. once I buy my intake and x pipe and all that good stuff i'm might get the car tuned up to 7 but I dont wanna pay for octane booster all the time too much of a hassle to me, afterall this isnt a race car just a fun DD..

 

he pretty much bought a blower setup with a free car for that price.

 

what octane are u running i am running 7psi now and i use 91 but that's what mine is tuned for. yea an x-pipe sounds awesome with the blower on these cars. good luck and good job on the awesome deal
