Default Check Engine Light on '97 Cobra

Hello all, I just today acquired a 1997 SVT Cobra with only 54k miles on it. Besides being dirty, the only problem with it is that the Check Engine Light is constantly on. The person I bought it from says that it is from the O/R H-pipe that is on it. In the documentation of the car however is an empty package that MIL Eliminaters came in. Shouldn't this solve the Engine Light, if the offroad pipe is truley the problem? The only other thing I can think of, but am not sure of, is that the car used to be supercharged, and still has the boost guage on it, but no blower. Could this cause the light to come on?

Thanks for any and all answers.

I would first shoot for the o/r h pipe...eliminators sometimes work forever but for many people after about 4 months give or take they burn out and stop working which triggers the light...

go to your parts store and they have the scan tool that will tell u the code, write it down and look it up online, if it is the or h, its going to set off 4 error codes, one for each o2 sensor lol but the mil's sometimes take a crap after awhile. did u make sure the previous owner didnt ****** them back before he sold u the car. just a thought.
