supercharger upgrade?
How difficult is it to replace the stock supercharger on the 03-04 cobra to a whipple 2.3 or KB 2.6/2.8. Does anyone have a DIY guide? Would this be something anyone could do in there home garage?
yes, you could do the swap yourself, but it needs a dyno tune after the swap, so unless you trailer it to take it to the shop, you really cant do this yourself.
Kenne Bell has a switch chip with pre tunes, you could use this, but i still think it should get its final tweak from someone who has a dyno.
you could probably use a handheld to get it close with a pulley tune, then use the 13lb pulley the whipple140 comes with to drive it over to the shop.
FYI, theres alot of stuff that should go along with the blower swap. B.A.P, MAFia (again something that needs a tech to program correctly) Usually a larger heat exchanger, a cooler thermostat and injectors. so its kinda alot of work by the time your done with it.
Its not that expensive to have installed for you... On a termi its pretty simple cause its just a swap, its not line they're doing all the plumbing for a centri or turbo or even starting from scratch with a new roots.
