Default high mileage problems?

Sorry to post yet another thread about buying a termi - but are there any specific issues with a 75-100,000 mile cobra? i've seen a bunch with in the 80s for 14-15k and they are fairly stockish (intake, exhaust, tuner)..how long do these motors last?

thanks for all help guys

Why do you want one with such high miles?

most common thing to go first is the heads, never heard of a stock one having any type of problems with internals or anything. but the motor is built to last just as long as any other motor if it is kept in its stock state, so I'd say they can go well over 100k, hope that helps

Why not just save and then get a really nice low mile one?

I got a decent deal on mine with 44k miles, paid 19k out the door, I agree on the saving for less miles, my other car was at like 97k and I was getting a bit nervous.

44k is not bad at all. I paid 27k out the door with 13k miles on it (11 months ago). There is nothing worse then a impulse buy because you want a cobra so bad you dont wanna wait lol. The OP sounds like he wants a terminator so bad that he is willing to settle for one with 75k+ miles. OP just keep saving untill you can find a real nice low mile one.

my '66 is getting a bit old and worn out, tranny is going to go any day and i'm just looking to get a cobra asap before i have to put much more money into my current car. I know it'd be better to just save but <100k doesn't bother me too much as long as it's only modded to an extent.
thanks for the info guys

^^ that too but mainly my car is pooping on me

If your going to get a high millage cobra make sure a compression test is done on it first. I can't believe no1 said that yet lol.
