Default 96-98 cobra

so i know the 96-98 gt dosent have the pi heads, but what would you guys say i need to know about a 96-98 cobra before making the decision to purcahse one??? my goal is to turbo it. i dont even know what kind of power that motor can handle stock??? i havent made up my mind if im going with another mod motor, or if im going with a 5.0 model. thanks

the teksid block is said by mags and ppl upto 1500hp. john mihovets won psca pro street champ title sporting stock 97 crank and block huffing 50lbs of boost with twin 78mm turbos, B-port heads pushin around 2000hp 6.30/40 et's at 220+mph. im lookin at gettin 96-98 cobra and then throwin rods, pistons, ported heads, cams and hpp twin turbo kit. i think thats it motor wise im sure i will think of somethin else

its a dang good starting point in the mod motor world. those cars car cheap and reliable and have a ton of potential.

i got a 96 mystic if u want it its got stock crank eagle rods je pistons been punched .20 over full valve job stage 2 port and polish .550 lift cams bigger t/b 4.10's all work done by jba out here in california by JBA racing the only thing is it doesnt run right now i think i ****ed up the drivers side head lol i think i spun a cam bearing

the 4.6 models have more potential imo although the 5.0's are i guess easier and cheaper to build, but im not sure i only have experience on 4.6's

how much? gotta wait for my dad to buy my saleen but we have few really big jobs we have to come outta pocket big time before we get paid. my grandma lives in paso robles and were do for a trip out there, how far are u from there. would love to buy ur car but our business comes first before toys unfortunately

u could say potential but the #1 reason lot of ppl do 4.6 is driveability
