weld wheels

Default weld wheels

i have an 2001 cobra and i was wondering if i would be able to slide some weld centerline or like wheel under the car with out haveing problems with the rather large brakes up front and back

you'll need spacers, with the 2.25 backspacing, i'd guess that the spacer would need to be 3/4" to clear the brakes

this is something I've been looking into myself...I think Weld also makes a 17" wheel...I need to get rid of that front end weight for the track!

i run welds. you need a spacer. I am running a pretty large one up front to clear the brakes. the rears barely clear on my car but they clear. i am running 15x3 up front with a 1.5" back space.

They do make a 17" alumistar front runner. When i got my welds there was a wait on them and they wanted around 400 per wheel i think it was. The 15" prostars were 135 each so for how little i use them i went that route.

With the wheel spaces, did you have to get longer studs or anything??

yes, the studs should be the standard length + your spacer thickness.

i have a hubcentric spacer with integrated studs. it bolts to the regular studs then has a seperate set that go through the wheel. I did change those out for 3" studs in the space to make it easier to get the shanked lug nuts on for the welds.
