failed smog yesterday (CAI)

Default failed smog yesterday (CAI)

So my car woudnt smog because of my BBK CAI. I need to replace it for the ford intake. I have the actual intake part but i dont have anything else. Will i be able to put the original intake on using the parts from the BBK one or will i need to buy some. Any help is appreciated to a noobie like me

i think youll need all the original parts, im guessing you live in California or something

Just buy the K&N FIPK intake. You will pass smog in cali and K&N even gives you the little sticker to shower its 50 state legal. Ditch that bbk crap!

you shouldnt have to change it, bbk has the carb number listed for all of their intakes. im going to assume you are talking about your 96-98 cobra. here is the carb # straight from their website.
50 State Legal - CARB #D-245-14
if they failed bc of that part they are just being idiots.

yes i live in California. I took it to a referee and he said that its a automatic fail because i dont have the carb sticker. I hate california!...........What im asking is will i need new bolts/ connecters to put on the stock one. If so does anyone know where i could get these parts.

by the time your done buying the stock parts, you'll pay the same as just buying another intake!!

try the salvage yard.

Can't you just call up BBk and have them send you the sticker with the carb #?

hey depending on where your at in cali..... ive got a guy that would pass a tractor motor in a geo for $50
