So. I keep hearing these cars were severely underrated by Ford. And that completely stock they have dyno'd at 400whp.

Is this true or not? And if you guys say it's true. Can someone provide proof?

^ read a magazine, I think it was Fast Ford and Mustangs did an article on dyno tuning it. This was when they first came out though, I heard it was like 410ish if I remember correctly however I remember the dealership rating it at 390hp.

 

Doing a search of the forums most people were saying 370rwhp is standard. he wasn't asking about bhp ATFPat...

 

they are underrated. They dyno too high too often.

 

Ford released new information later after the production of the 2003 models. The 03/04 Cobra's are actually rated at 425 HP and 425 TQ, On average, Cobra's dyno around 360-370 RWHP and freaks around 380 RWHP.

 

Hmm strange. I was told 400whp in a thread over in S&S not that long ago.

i seen quit a few stock termis on the same dyno 360-370whp, no 400whp.

 

mine was 370 stock which is too high for a car rated at 390 crank hp.

 

Mine was 270whp stock...

Oh wait, mine's not a termi, lol...
