Default cobra stalling =(

wtf, sometimes if i brake hard the rpms drop and is has stalled on me before, i cleaned out the maf, change the gas filter, cleaned out the iac, checked for vacuum leaks.... it doesnt always happen buy i dont drive it everyday and its only some times when it acts up. i posted a similar thread before and it turned out to be my crap jlt intake came loose from the fender wall mount. it looks ok right now but if some how it is the culprit im seriously getting rid of that shiny pvc pita cr@p that doesnt even fit well.

Had the same problem with my car, and she eventually started stalling out completely everytime I came to a stop. My problem was the ECU...the first one they put in was defective, but the second one was fine and she's been running like a champ ever since. My check engine light never came on, but they told me they still were able to get a code from the computer.

I have heard this happen with people that have the JLT intake. This is why I went with simple (but you know it will work great) K&N FIPK Gen2. I take it that it happens when you brake and put it in neutral? If so give it a small rev when you put it in neutral and brake.

I would sell that PVC crap and go with either the K&N or Steeda intake! I love mine.

I had this happen on my Mach1 when I took out the screen. If you didn't put the screen back in when you installed your JLT intake put it in.

mine did it too, but issue was that my clutch needed adjustment, with it pushed all the way to the floor, its still not quite fully engaged, so the brakes were killing the motor, id have to downshift then pop it into nuetral.... braking to a full stop.

17-54-2 DRIVEABILITY - Stall Issue - Referred to as 'Lack of Power on Decel".

Stalling is a fairly common and potentially dangerous problem with the Cobras. There is a TSB on this issue. It is easily fixed with an ECU reflash by the dealer. For cars without the ECU reflash the stall can occur at any time on deceleration, usually when the clutch is depressed. The motor does not always return to a normal idle speed but drops too low and stalls.

Just give it a small rev when downshifting, problem solved.
