Default 96,97,98 cobras

So I sold my V6 mustang for a wrangler a few months ago and have now decided i like mustangs too much not to own one. I am selling my wrangler right now and hopfully it will be gone soon. I am intersested in a 96 97 or 98 cobra. As of now there are two, a black 98 vert that needs a bit of body work and a red 97 that has a ticking sound but the guy says it just needs a new head which he has and will also include 03 termi cams. Both of these cars are going for 4000-4500 and have i belive 80-95k miles on them. My question is, because this will be a daily driver, are there any major problems with these model cobras? Also out of those two which one would you guys choose. Thanks!

id go with the ticker... its probably cheaper to fix than the bodywork on the vert. but theres a trillion other variables... hows the interior? im sure the interior is jacked on the vert... most are.... what kind of wheels, brakes.. any mods on any of these cars?
the vert is worth more, but if your in a chitty area to cruize with the top down, i wouldnt get it, if i lived anywhere else, i'd have a hardtop.

the ticker has exhaust and gears and I would do the head myself with another very knowlageable friend but with the vert I dont think i would bother with getting the body work done. and as far as I know the vert is stock. the thing im wary about with the ticker is if he needed a new block that means he beat on it cause it only has 80k somthing miles on it so that could lead to more problems with other things down the road and its going to be a DD and i wont have much cash to spare.

Out of the 2 go with the red 1, but I say keep looking. You go to be willing to travel. I went 6 hrs away to get my car. Do you live in a state where it snows? if so I wouldn't use it as your DD.
