Default 99 cobra exhuast

Current set up is stock manifolds, bassani x-pipe was catted with high flows but one blew out so i just straight piped where the cats were, and bassani exhuast and mufflers. Its a little raspy now so I plan on changing the x-pipe. How will a H-pipe compare to the current x. SHould I go with a catted x-pipe or a catted/no catted h-pipe?

IM wanting the car to be just as loud, just more deep. Will a o/r h be loud but deeper?

Also, what if I put stock cats back in the x pipe and then run no mufflers/resonators, how would that sound?

Put cats back on it. You will notice a pitch change when converting to an H-pipe. It will be a little bit deeper, but not really that noticaeable. The material it's made of (stainless vs. aluminized) will also detrmine the sound. All stainless exhaust has a tendency to "ping" from exhaust pulses which sounds like rasp...aluminized doesn't "ping" like stainless. I don't know why that is...it just is. But cats will slow your exhaust flow, as well as break down and straighten turbulent flow which is why a catted stainless and catted aluminized systems sound almost identical.

Simple answer...staying catless, go H-pipe aluminized with a flowmaster style chambered muffler...

Adding cats...keep it stainless with straight through mufflers.
