Default JLT Ram Air Intake

Opinions? I am looking at it for my 2001 Cobra. Only mod is Bassani Catback exhaust system. We have occasional floods here, we had two at the beginning of the summer so I don't want to worry about running a full length intake in the fender well.

Is the JLT RAI the way to go or should I be looking at something else?

Go with a K&N FIPK or Steeda.

I had a JLT on my mach1 and 07 gt and nothing but problems with them. I hate that cheap pvc pipe crap!

What kind of problems did you have if you don't mind me asking?

A bunch of small minor problems, but the biggest problem was fitment. It seems like JLT didn't spend enough time on the fitment of the product. IDK if their fitment and quality have gotten better over the last year n half or so but I refuse to put their sh*tty product on my car untill Im convinced their quality and fitment has changed for the better.

I think unless anyone can convince me otherwise, I am going to go with the K&N FIPK or Steeda.

Fitment issues with the JLT RAI kit???? No way, look at the picture ^^^, simple straight forward kit!!

....I have the CAI, no problems....Now, I have heard of some fitment problems with the "High Boost" kit for cars running 20#'s + of boost!

RAI kit simple & nice! + you can get it color matched to your car if you'd like too!

i cant say anything about the ram air but ive installed 3 cold air jlt's (2 cobra/1 mach 1) and they didnt fit well at all. the tube rubs on the valve covers on both, the maf sensor doesnt seal well around the adapter for the air filter and on the cobra the filter rubs bad on the the hoses for the intercooler. my friends and told them (jlt) about our problems but we were told its just a tight fit.
