Default Throttle Body

I am looking at a twin 65mm throttle body to go along with a k&n cai. Is it worth it and is there any tuning that needs to be done? I don't know a lot about this stuff.Any help will be appreciated. By the way, its going on a 99 cobra, stock except for exhaust.

you could put that couple hundred dollars toward a procharger down the road.

I just put a new motor in. There is a three year warranty on it. Can't do much of anything for a while. Just looking at bolt ons.

it might not make much of a difference now, but as you add parts it will. look for a used one to save some $$

My buddy at work just installed the BBK 65mm twin on his 01 cobra over this past weekend and he said he loves it. I asked him if he thinks he gained any hp and he still wasn't sure but he said the car revved a lot smoother and rpm's climbed faster and smoother then stock.

Did he need a tuner to change anything or did he just install it and it was fine?

He said that the rpm's hang a little bit and it sticks sometimes so he is going to get a dyno tune on the 13th.

Would a hand held tuner work to fix it?

yes it does, i have a SCT Xcal 3 tuner and i just put a bbk 65 twin on my 97 cobra and it is bolted to a C&L cold air with K&N Filter and C&L Mass air and it worked perfect, but idle hanged a litttle but fixed it with the tuner, works awesome and i can feel a difference.!!
