Has anyone boosted thier ignition with MSD or Accel coils or used a Kenne Bell Boost-a-spark? Did you have proven HP gains? What plugs and gaps work best? I ask because with all that extra fuel and air in a FI car seems like it could use more spark. I am running about 14 psi and hitting about 12:1 afr at high rpms with my water injection.

 

I haven't done any ignition mods, but they can't hurt. MSD is on top when it comes to any kind of ignition, Accel comes in second. Lethal Performance also has Coils, Weapon X. I have no experience with them. Plugs are NGK TR6 gapped at or around 32-34 not really sure.

 

Weapons X coils are CRAP!

Go with a kenne bell boost a spark. We have had MANY good results with it, at the shop. Any Cobra pushing over 600hp has power to be gained, with this product.

i got a deal on some msd coil for my gt stang, the only thing i notice was it started a lot easier/quicker during the winter months when i lived in VA.

 

my car had accel coils on it when i bought it no problems with it yet

 

MSD doesnt make em for the 4v's

 

they make a dis 4 box set up for the snakes but u need to run two of them.

 

YUP NO MSD'S FOR THE 4V. RPMOUTLET.COM SELL SOME COILS AS WELL. MAYBE THAT WILL HELP.
