Default IRS vs SRA

I just bought a 04 Mystic cobra and was just wondering how much difference the handling during hard acceleration etc is gonna be compared to my gt with the SRA? Is there a noticable difference or is it pretty much the same?

Just don't launch your car without a IRS Brace.

Get he IRS Brace. Its worth every penny. Theres also a new rear cover out there which is beefed up but its over $200.

No dumping the cluth what so ever. I bought the BF IRS brace from lethal but steeda makes one also. I don't believe the steeda one is as good as the BF one but here is a nice pic to show what can happen when you launch with out it.

Steeda also makes a Stop the Hop Package

ive compared the BF and the Steeda ones side by side, theyre basically the same. If your just cruzin with the occasional red light race, you'll be fine with the IRS...

if your going to throw slicks on it and take it to the drag strip, its only a matter of time until you end up getting the SRA anyways... so rather than dumping 450 into the rear end with the brace/bracket/bushings...

Hard handling during hard acceleration is a differential question, not an IRS vs Solid. Get a Torsen T2R, and regardless of IRS vs Solid, you'll get the best diff for that purpose ever.

you can light em up without the brace as long as you don't introduce a sticky tire and you stop at the first sign of wheel hop. i've dumped the clutch a few times on street tires with no problems. probably because there was no traction. lol

If you abuse anything it will break eventually. The primary reason people swap from the IRS to the SRA is that the SRA is cheaper to build. You have to put a decent amount of money and time into the IRS to get it to its full potential. Most people just don't want to deal with it. It comes down to what you want to do with the car.
