Well if you gave us the whole story to begin with I wouldn't have assumed the guy was feeding you crap. That is how he could tell your timing is with the Steeda adjuster
I believe the only way to tell if you have a handheld tune is to do a data log and someone that know what stock parameters are would have to tell you what they think. But to do that you usually need a handheld and a laptop yourself. If it has a chip you have to pull your ECM out from the passenger kick panel to see if it has a chip.
